Shamkir City Park

This is a park project that has wide grass spaces, is located at Shamkir and is 400 kilometers away from Baku. The city, which was founded by the Germans who emigrated from Prussia, displays a stand that validates the statement of Le Corbusier arguing that “The locations where the heights of the trees are longer than the heights of the structures represent civilization.” The project, which played a part in the restructuring of the city in the recent past, plays an important role for the settlement that has never achieved comfort in the transition from the town scale to the city scale, being brought into compliance with the norms and standards. The fact that the project was completed by planting 1540 long trees in a short period of time consisting of 40 days is of great importance in terms of bringing back the comfort that the city residents have been missing for a long time.
