KD House Galata
This is a project where the abandoned attic of an old building structure in Galata, which is one of the districts that bear the historical texture of Istanbul and is rapidly becoming one of the most preferable districts of Istanbul, was turned into a one person living space. It was ensured that the columns falling on the ground were removed by supporting the wooden main joists of the ceiling with iron joists in order to create a spacious living and working space to the extent allowed by the horizontal ratios in the middle volume. The bedroom, bathroom and storage space volumes were located at the corner spots where the ceiling height was lower.
